Welcome to the Wilson-Thompson Family Association website. We are glad you found us. The Association was founded in 1891 for the purpose of remembering and celebrating the many men and women of the Wilson and Thompson families who have contributed to creating the heritage of which are most proud. Each year the members of the Association come together and reunite in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania for that purpose. The reunion has been held continuously since that first reunion.
Our families have contributed and continues to contribute to our great country. Starting with the emigration to the American Colonies in the early 1700's they participated through the many struggles of our country, both internal and external, including the American Revolution, the Civil War, World Wars, and all conflicts since then. This includes the many issues, challenges and hotly debated subjects which face and still face our nation. Most recently, our families remembered heroes and participated in the Wreathes Across America day; our family Association President, Susan Thompson, continues to lead in so many ways.
Our family is a big tent, not wedded to any particular political, religious, or ethnic leaning; we extend a welcome to all family members and respect the right of differing opinions; our family is an American family. We are grateful to those family members who came before us and on whose shoulders we proudly stand.
This website is Version 2.0 of the Wilson-Thompson Family Association website; it is a work in progress, created by Jason W. Thompson and Jack Thompson. Version 1.0 was created several years ago, and most ably managed by Dr. Russell Miller. Additionally, Mrs. Ellen Broxmeyer has created a family Facebook genealogy page. We thank them both getting us into 21st century technology. We therefore dedicate Version 2.0 to Dr. Miller and Mrs. Broxmeyer.
If you believe you are a member of the family, please reach out to Jack via email at so that you may be included in future correspondence and activities.
A Message from Our President
